A Surprising Island Above the Arctic Circle !!

Lofoten  is actually a grouping of islands in northwest Norway. It's well known for  its gorgeous cliffs,

Because Lofoten is above the Arctic Circle, in summer the nights are really very long, and in winter they're really short.

In spite of these extremes in sunlight, Lofoten has an extremely temperate climate. That's thanks a lot to the gulf stream, which pushes hot air throughout the Atlantic and up the coast of Norwegian.

Lofoten has the finest positive temperature difference in the world, relative to latitude.Even if Lofoten is above Arctic cycle the average temperature never gets to a a level of freezing

Thanks to its northern location, Lofoten gets an amazing showing of the Northern Lights.
